Felix completed a master of Economics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. In 1998 he was the founder of Area010, a business incubator for innovative start-ups. He was general manager for four years where he supported new businesses in business planning, deal making, networking and financing. After this Felix participated in a trading company in gifts and premiums and started his own company, doing interim management and consulting projects in the field of technology transfers and life sciences. Clients were medical centers, development corporations and medical foundations. In 2004 he co-founded Elana bv and is part of the Executive Board.

Claartje studied law at the University of Amsterdam. She specialized in corporate law and intellectual property. She started her career as a general corporate lawyer at a law firm in The Hague. In 1998 she switched to a renowned trademarks office in Amsterdam and worked as a European trademark attorney for 7 years. After having moved to the USA she started working for the subsidiary of Elana bv, Elana, Inc.

Glenn studied lifesciences, department of zoology at the Hogeschool Utrecht. He conducted two periods of practical work at Elana assisting in research projects.
A. van Dieren, Ing (André)

André has extensive experience in research into medical devices. After studying electronics and physiology, he started his career with TNO, a Dutch research institute, where he worked for 23 years in the brain research group. He then worked for 18 years in research in the department of neurosurgery at the Universtity Medical Center in Utrecht with Prof. C.A.F. Tulleken. His experience now helps to drive various research projects at Elana.
D. Keizer, Msc (Diederick)

Diederick studied medical biology at university of Amsterdam. He conducted a Ph.D. scientific research program at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam on the subject of metastasizing prostate tumor cells. His work experience includes clinical and marketing functions in several medical and pharmaceutical companies. He is specialized in conducting clinical trials and project management.
H.J. Mansvelt Beck (Rik)

Rik studied mechanical engineering at Technical School Utrecht. He worked for almost 41 years as Biomedical engineer and Technical inventor for the University of Utrecht. In this position he helped several departments developing ideas, patents and products. Rik has extensive knowhow and experience in the field of Neuro and Cardiac vascular surgery. In close collaboration with Prof. Tulleken, he developed the Elana products. As an innovative inventor he holds several patents, of which the one was acquired by Medtronic, being the well-known “Medtronic Octopus Stabalizer”.
J.O.T. Noest, Ing (Niklank)

Niklank studied mechanical engineering in Utrecht. He worked for six years as mechanical engineer with several companies. In addition he worked for three years as manufacturing engineer for a medical device company where he got acquainted with medical engineering and the ISO 13485 quality system. During this employment he studied for Bachelor of Engineering at the Inholland Hogeschool of Alkmaar and graduated in 2010.

Harry studied physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology and specialized in biophysics and physiology. He spent four years in biomedical research at Montreal General Hospital, Canada and the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands. He worked almost 20 years in the medical device industry in the areas of product marketing, training & application support and sales management. His recent experience includes consultancy on European medical device regulation (CE marking) and ISO 13485 quality systems. He has a broad international experience with fluency in Dutch, English, French, German, and Russian at conversation level.
