Abstract: Quest, a Dutch magazine reports on how to make a bypass in the brain, written by Rik Kuiper. In the summer of 2009 Rik Kuiper followed Tristan van Doormaal, PhD student at the UMC Utrecht The Netherlands, who was working on his promotion about the evaluation and further development of the ELANA Technique. The article gives a background of the current technology that is invented by the department of neurosurgery at the UMC Utrecht and now marketed by Elana bv.
