Claartje studied law at the University of Amsterdam. She specialized in corporate law and intellectual property. She started her career as a general corporate lawyer at a law firm in The Hague. In 1998 she switched to a renowned trademarks office in Amsterdam and worked as a European trademark attorney for 7 years. After having moved to the USA she founded the subsidiary of Elana bv, Elana, Inc. in 2007. Upon her return to the Netherlands she became managing director of Elana bv in 2012 and founded it's parent organization, the Brain Technology Institute.
Sander studied Technical Physics at the Fontys hogescholen in Eindhoven where he specialized in Medical Engineering. He worked one year at the department of Clinical Physics at the UMC in Utrecht. Sander is since 2006 working for Elana as Product Manager and since 2013 as Quality Manager.
Saskia studied Life Sciences at the Hogeschool Utrecht were she specialized in Laboratory Animal Sciences. She did an intership at Elana bv and graduated in July 2009 and has since then been working for Elana bv.
Bogusia, born in Poland, completed her studies in the foreign trade economics at the University of Gdansk. Since 1984 she has been living in Holland. During her long business career she mostly worked for international trade companies doing business with Poland. She has eleven years experience in logistics and in the field of office management. She also has a work experience in the business promotion sector. Bogusia has been working as office manager for Elana since 2006.

C.A.F. Tulleken (1940) is emeritus professor at the department of Neurosurgery at the University Medical Centre Utrecht. Professor Tulleken has carried out extensive research in the field of neurovascular surgery and is the founder of the ELANA technique which makes it possible to create a bypass without occluding the brain arteries.
